What We're Looking For 🤩

Essential

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles, ideally within high-growth scale-ups.
• An AI-native engineering mindset: Ship 10x faster without trading away reliability, security, or maintainability.
• Track Record: You have built and scaled developer productivity tools, CI/CD pipelines, and observability stacks from the ground up.
• Technical Depth: Extensive experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern Cloud providers (AWS/GCP).
• Coding Skills: Strong programming skills in Terraform, Python (our primary language for AI) and ideally experience with Go or Rust for high-performance tooling.
• Problem Solver: You thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building high-leverage systems that multiply the impact of every other engineer in the building.
• Security & Stability: You understand the balance between moving fast and maintaining a secure, stable production environment.

Bonus Points

• Background in conversation analytics, communication data, or natural language or audio processing
• Startup or founding experience, especially building data science capabilities from zero to scale

What You'll Be Doing 🚀

• Scale AI Infrastructure: Optimize our stack for GenAIOps, ensuring seamless deployment and monitoring of LLMs and agentic systems.
• Observability & Reliability: Own our observability stack (OTEL, Grafana, etc.)—from code instrumentation to real-time alerting.
• Automation: Eliminate manual toil by automating everything from local development environments (using tools like Nix or DevEnv) to production deployments.
• Own Developer Experience: Build the application frameworks and tooling that make Agaton the most productive engineering environment in the world.
